Deepika Padukone out of Vishal's Dream Sequence
Deepika, who was reported to be part of Vishal Bharadwaj's Dream Sequence, is said to be out of the project.
Deepika Padukone was reported to have moved out, citing reasons of date problems, and certain media reports also suggest that since Deepika was intending to work with Saif Ali Khan, but since Saif later dropped out of the project, Deepika too withdrew herself parting ways with Vishal Bharadwaj amicably.
Deepika was earlier gave exited interviews on how she is very happy to be part of Vishal Bharadwaj s film and how keen she is to work with such a talented director.
Now Vishal's Dream Sequence will see Naseeruddin Shah's son Vivaan playing the lead instead of Saif Ali Khan and now the quest to find the leading lady is on again for Vishal Bharadwaj.
A source was reported to have said, “There is no animosity between Deepika and Vishal over her decision. They have promised each other to work together in the near future. When Vishal approached Deepika, he had not spoken about the dates for the film. Now, he wanted dates early next year. But Deepika is supposed to be shooting from January to March 2011 for Desi Boys. Deepika has committed to another film that goes on floors in April and her dates are blocked till June for it. Though Deepika was very keen on working with Vishal, she has had to say no to his offer for these reasons.”
Vishal is back to square one with his search for the leading lady in his film. His spokesperson said, “Deepika was never signed. Therefore, the question of her opting out does not arise. There are too many rumors about Dream Sequence and its cast. Once the cast has been finalized, Vishal will make a formal announcement.”
So if reasons are that Deepika intends to work with Saif Ali Khan the rumors of Deepika Padukone replacing Priyanka Chopra in the untitled film that is to be the film version of the Chetan Bhagat book 2 states, will be her choice to sign up, in which she will be cast opposite Saif Ali Khan? Right move Deepika?
