Urumi Malayalam movie First Look, Prithviraj new film. Here are the latest details and updated reports on Malayalam actor Prithviraj new movie Urumi. Well known cinematographer and director Santosh Sivan is making Urumee, a period saga, with Prithviraj in the lead.
Urumy takes you to the time of Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama landed at Calicut in 1498. Prithviraj plays Chirakkal Kelu Nayanar, who is the leader of the group that plans to kill Vasco da Gama. Urumie is directed by Santosh Sivan and stars Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva and Genelia D’Souza in the lead roles, with Vidya Balan, Tabu and Vikram in cameo appearances. The film is being simultaneously made in English under the title The Boy Who Wanted To Kill Vasco Da Gama. The film Urumi is produced by Prithviraj, Shaji natesan and Santosh Sivan under their new production company, August Cinema. The movie is being made at a budget of more than 22 crore rupees, making it the second most expensive Malayalam film ever made after Pazhassi Raja.
Urumi is an eight feet long flexible sword which is used in Kalari martial art.
The film Urumi is about a group of men who plan to murder the Portuguese adventurer, Vasco De Gama, who set foot in Kappad in Calicut in 1498.
Genelia will play a Portuguese princess and Prithviraj will be the leader of the mob that desires to murder Vasco Da Gama.
